Sudabeh Pakray has more than 20 years of patent-searching
experience with pharmaceutical companies. She has performed prior art,
validity, freedom-to-operate, literature and competitive intelligence searches.
She worked at
Wyeth (Pfizer) as a principal information scientist, providing patent searches
in support of research and development for more than 30 projects in different
therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular, women's health, oncology,
inflammation, and CNS. She also managed and coordinated United States Adopted
Names (USAN)/International Nonproprietary Names (INN) submissions for more than
37 chemical and biological entities.
Before, she worked
at Schering-Plough (Merck) as a bench chemist and patent searcher. She did
patent searching for chemists and biologists, as well as for the legal group.
Sudabeh received
her master’s degree in organic chemistry from Central Michigan University. She
became a Patent Agent in 2012. She continues to provide patent searches for pharmaceutical/biotech companies, law firms and universities.
